Kelley Tanner holds her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Her work is typically produced utilizing charcoal or oil paint, and sometimes a hybridity of the two. She has been exploring various themes and concepts within her work, including the psychology of reflections and how one sees oneself. She currently teaches Acrylic Painting classes at Painting with a Twist in Edwardsville, IL, as well as non-credit Drawing courses at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
